People assume I went into this business because I just love weddings.
Well, it’s true – I do love weddings. I find it inspiring that even though we live in a cynical, instant-gratification world there are still thousands of couples who every year, stand up in front of beloved family and friends and declare, “We love each other and want to spend the rest of our lives together.”
It’s irresistible. It melts my heart every time.
And I need an excuse to watch Say Yes to the Dress. (I tell my husband I’m doing research.)
My great affection for romance aside, I love putting two people together on that one special day and ensuring it all runs perfectly.
As a certified wedding coordinator not only I am eminently qualified to plan your wedding, but by nature I’m good at it and I enjoy it. In addition to my qualifications and experience, I also have a background in floral design, catering and business communication.
I consider it a tremendous honour to work with you, listen to your dreams and goals (and budgetary constraints) and work closely to create your best possible wedding day.
From our initial meeting to the time you wave goodbye to your guests, I’m the one who will take care of all the little details. Your job? You just relax. Enjoy your day. Smile and dance. Drink champagne and wonder at this new adventure you’re beginning.
People often ask me “which weddings inspire you?” One of my favourite weddings is that of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. The top-secret nuptials took place in a tiny wood frame church lit by dozens of white candles and kerosene lamps. The altar was adorned with lush greenery. The lone vocalist sang hymns a cappella. That wedding bore the simplicity and elegance of those two people – their imprint.
Whatever type of wedding you choose you can be sure of one thing. Your wedding will reflect who you are and the love you feel for each other. It will bear your own unique imprint.
